In the below file you can find the costs we experienced during our short stay in Buenos Aires during the latter part of March 2022. The “basket items” with costs are only what we purchase during our time in BA.
The conversion to USD is made at the official exchange rate applicable during that period, if however the “blue dollar” rate were to be used then the exchange rate would be ARS198 to a dollar.

Be aware that in this period Argentina was experiencing inflation rates of 50% per annum and so the ARS costs will have increased subsequently, in theory though the USD cost indication could have stayed stable.
Additionally the comparison to South Africa is an indicator only and depending when viewed won’t have factored in inflation effects.
